India- part 2

Delhi was great. It was the chaos and craziness that I expected in India. What I did not expect were the clean streets, and calm in New Delhi (as opposed to Old Delhi). They were 2 different worlds. We rode rickshaws through the Old City to the spice market and one of the Mosques. Stopped at Ghandi's memorial and the India arch imagine the arch de triomphe with "India" written at the top).

THE TAJ MAHAL

The Taj, it's one of those places that you hear about and see pictures all over, and wonder if it will meet the expectations. It did. I loved hearing the story of it's creation, being able to walk around it and see the symmetry, to see the details in the architecture and stone work, it is an amazing structure.

This is what we saw when we arrived, fog. No Taj.
Awesome guide.

We also went to the Red Fort
The King was imprisoned here by his son.
The stonework and patterns were amazing.

My favorite thing in India were the bright colors and people.
